Escape Room Tips and Strategy
Escape rooms are tons of fun, but they’re also pretty hard. And while that may sound daunting, this also makes it just that much more thrilling to experience the joy of breaking out. Therefore, it’s best that before getting locked up, you learn some strategies on how to escape. First, gather a group of people that you both like and trust, and come in with a positive attitude. Escape rooms are all about teamwork, and lo and behold, the groups that typically win generally have very positive interactions with each other in the room. Be supportive and encouraging to one another as you work on clues. Also, speaking of clues, ask for them! Getting stuck in an escape room can literally suck the air right out of the room. No one wants to ask for help, but if your group is stuck on one puzzle for 5-10 minutes, you need to ask for a clue. Rooms will have up to 20 steps you have to solve, so you have to keep moving or else you’ll fall behind. Lastly, try not to get too bogged down on the little details of the room. Yes, you’ll have to solve all the puzzles, but the solutions are typically the most obvious and glaring things. You won’t have to perform any advanced math or be expected to read an entire book to solve a clue, so keep an eye out for the obvious answers and have fun!
Restaurants and Recommendations for an Escape Room Night
We recommend including your escape room experience as part of your night on the town. Escape rooms are fun, and they can certainly get the party started. Buckhead is definitely a place to go out and have fun, and at the very least can offer many wonderful restaurants to enjoy as you debrief and dine following playing Breakout. Check out Mo Mo Ya for Japanese, Superica for Tex-Mex, Marcello’s Pizzeria/Trattoria/Bar, Dtox Juices, Bartaco Chastain Park, Hal’s The Steakhouse, Johnny’s Hideaway, Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, Waffle House, or The Ivy. There’s literally something for everyone! Also, be sure to enjoy some fine Buckhead shopping at Lenox Square Mall.
Breakout Games - Norcross also is nearby plenty of great restaurants and activities for after your game. For lunch/dinner, head over to Confetti’s Bar & Grill, Sushi Mito, Loving Hut, Verdi, or some familiar chains for a quick bite, like KFC, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, or Papa John’s. If you want another fun activity, head over to Bowlero Norcross for bowling.
