Escape Room Lexington Directions
Located in downtown Lexington between Main Street and Winchester Road (60), Breakout Lexington is centrally located and pretty easy to reach from any part of town.
10 minutes from Rupp Arena, just head southeast on Vine, continue onto East Main Street, and turn left on North Ashland. Breakout Lexington is on the left about 5 blocks up.
Less than 10 minutes from the University of Kentucky, just drive up Ashland until you see Breakout on the left.
From Keeneland Racecourse, head east on 60 into town and take Maxwell down to High Street, and turn left onto Ashland. This takes roughly 20 minutes.
Just 5 minutes from Transylvania University, drive southeast on 3rd Street (60), continue onto Winchester Rd, but turn quickly right onto Walton Ave, turn left onto Aurora Avenue, and then left again onto N Ashland. Breakout is on the left.

Escape Room Tips & Strategy
Few things can adequately prepare someone for the intensity and excitement of an escape room, but here are a few quick pointers:
- Work together as a team. There's no need to showboat or make conflict with teammates. You're all striving for the common goal of escaping in time.
- Keep an eye on the clock, as time passes very quickly.
- Take advantage of your clues. We try to offer assistance when needed, and inevitably, most groups get stuck on something or another.
- Instead of digging deep into your advanced Calculus knowledge, when you get stumped for 5-10 minutes on a single step, just ask for help. Chances are the solution was something pretty simple that you guys just happened to miss. Trust me, you'll feel a lot better having broken out after using 2 clues than fretting over what went wrong when you refused to ask for help.

Escape rooms go great with dinner, and Breakout Lexington has several tasty options nearby. Check out the Blue Door Smokehouse for delicious BBQ, the Pasta Garage Italian Café if you’re in the mood for pasta, or Spalding’s Bakery if you’re looking for a tasty treat.
Another favored spot near us is Pivot Brewing if you’re looking to have some drinks. Each of these spots is just a couple minutes’ drive from Breakout Games.
Lexington is full of awesome things to do, including the horse tracks at The Red Mile, just 10 minutes away as well as the home of Mary Todd Lincoln, which is also just 10 minutes’ drive away.
