So, if you are ready to embark on your escape room adventure, read on!

How Escape Rooms Work
Escape rooms are thrilling interactive experiences where participants are “locked” in a themed room and must solve a series of puzzles, riddles, and challenges within a set time limit to escape. It's like being inside a real-life adventure game, where teamwork, quick thinking, and creativity are key.
Once inside, you’ll solve a series of puzzles, riddles, and locks that will lead you to a final solution. If you solve everything in time, you’ll break out!
Escape rooms are a group activity perfect for friends and family, and most can be enjoyed by all ages. And because they’re a team-building activity, requiring strong communication and comradery, escape rooms are also excellent for office outings.

How to Prepare
Before you step inside your escape room of choice, it’s important to be prepared. Most escape rooms will require a signed waiver to play. At Breakout, we’ll email this to you when you book a game. We recommend filling it out before you come to save some time when you arrive
Plan to arrive at the escape room 15 minutes before your booking time. This will allow you plenty of time to check in, use the bathroom if needed, and mentally prepare for your adventure.
After you check in, your escape room game master will take you back to your room. They’ll give you some instructions and tips for how to play. It’s important to listen to all of the guidance so you can have the best experience possible. Once you’re ready to go, your game master will head to a control room to monitor your experience and offer you hints as needed. Then, your game will begin!

How to Play
Here are some escape room tips to help you succeed:
  1. Search the room carefully for clues. Search high and low for physical clues like notes, books, and letters. Pay close attention to any patterns you recognize or anything that seems out of place.
  2. Don’t try random codes. It’s common for escape room players to try any series of numbers they see into a lock. But the codes will almost never be out in the open without you having to solve something first. Work to put clues together instead of wasting time on random codes.
  3. Communicate with your team. Escape rooms are a group activity that can’t be solved alone. Collaborate with all your group members for the best chance of winning.
If you pay close attention to what you find in the room and collaborate well with your team, you’ll have a great chance of escaping!

Wrapping Up
Escape rooms can be a lot of fun, and the experience is more enjoyable when you have an idea of what to expect. Remember to communicate with your teammates, explore the room carefully, examine the clues you find, and try every combination in every lock. Not every puzzle is straightforward, so be patient in your approach, and don't be afraid to ask for hints when you need them. And finally, have fun! If you laugh and make some memories, that’s always a win in our book.
