One of our favorite experiences to offer the communities surrounding our Breakout locations are field trips. After all, we see our escape rooms not only as an opportunity for fun and unforgettable memories, but also as a way to expand on the lessons and skills that kids are learning in school. Let’s take a look at a few of the skills that students build while participating in our escape rooms!

1. Collaboration & Team Work

One of the best things about playing escape rooms is the teamwork that they require in order to solve them. In fact, the rooms at Breakout Games are specifically designed with puzzles that are meant for teams of 2 or more to solve together. This sets students up for an awesome opportunity to collaborate, brainstorm, and work together while solving a series of puzzles and clues.

2. Problem Solving

As many of our seasoned escape room players know, succeeding in our rooms requires an abundance of problem-solving. What’s even better is the variety of styles of puzzles which allows different thinkers opportunities to excel at different puzzles. By the end of our games, players will have used all sorts of different problem solving skills to analyze and complete a variety of puzzles.

3. Communication

In order to properly discuss the puzzles at hand, players will have the opportunity to practice their communication skills while playing our escape rooms. After all, in order for ideas to be shared and tried out, everyone will need to vocalize their thoughts with the other players in their group. This will give everyone an awesome chance to practice their communication skills with peers while playing our escape rooms.

Not only are escape rooms a fun and interactive experience for kids, but they’re also a great place for some hands-on learning. If you are interested in hosting a field trip or team building event at one of our locations, visit our website and fill out a “Team Building” form. We would love to have you!
