How to Plan an Escape Room Birthday Party

Escape rooms are an amazing way to celebrate your birthday, and they are one of the number one reasons groups come to Breakout. Escape rooms add elements of fun, teamwork, adventure, and competitiveness to any party. And they are great for kids and adults alike. 

With a little planning, your escape room party will be one to remember! Here are our top tips for planning an escape room birthday party:

We want to help make your birthday party amazing. The best way for us to help is if you call your local store beforehand. We can help recommend rooms to you and answer any questions you have. We may even be able to help customize a small part of the room for you as a unique birthday surprise!

We have lots of room themes at Breakout, so it might be hard to decide on which room to play. We recommend choosing something that you and your guests can get the most immersed in.

It’s really fun to base your party theme on a room you choose. For example, maybe you can dress up like CLUE characters and play our CLUE room. Or dress up as cowboys and play Wild West. Choose a theme that fits your unique interests. 

Decide on the people you want to invite to your escape room party. Know that our rooms can typically hold 2-8 people. If you have more people than that, you can do multiple rooms at once. It can be really fun to battle it out between two groups and see who can break out the fastest.

Now that you’ve booked your room and gathered your group, all that’s left is for you to have an amazing time! You’ll have 60 minutes to solve your adventure of choice by cracking codes, opening locks, and ultimately, escaping together.
