Escape Room Birmingham Directions

If you are coming from downtown or the University of Alabama at Birmingham, head south on US 280 E/US 31 S and turn right onto 28th Ave S. Turn right again onto 19th Pl S, and then Breakout will be on the right.
Heading in from the west, we recommend taking West Valley Ave before turning right onto 18th St S, then left onto Rosedale and then quickly right onto 19th St S, left onto 27th St S, and Homewood and near SoHo Square, just off of 31.

Escape Room Tips & Strategy

Few things can adequately prepare someone for the intensity and excitement of an escape room, but here are a few quick pointers:
- Work together as a team. There's no need to showboat or make conflict with teammates. You're all striving for the common goal of escaping in time.
- Keep an eye on the clock, as time passes very quickly.
- Take advantage of your clues. We try to offer assistance when needed, and inevitably, most groups get stuck on something or another.
- Instead of digging deep into your advanced Calculus knowledge, when you get stumped for 5-10 minutes on a single step, just ask for help. Chances are the solution was something pretty simple that you guys just happened to miss. Trust me, you'll feel a lot better having broken out after using 2 clues than fretting over what went wrong when you refused to ask for help.

Restaurants & Recommendations for Escape Room Night

SoHo Square has numerous restaurants and bars within a half mile walk from Breakout Games - Birmingham. Included are Jackson's Bar and Bistro, Dave's Pizza, Little Donkey (really good Mexican), Zoe's Kitchen, Johnny's (BBQ), Jinsei Sushi, Demitri's BBQ, Steel City Pops, and Octane Coffee. If you’re looking for a fun night out, a game at Breakout is sure to get the gears into motion and have your group upbeat as you head out to dinner or drinks. Several other great Birmingham attractions that are within a mile of Breakout include the Birmingham Zoo and the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Both provide wonderful displays of animal and plant life, and can be a fun accompaniment to an escape room for a fun day out!
