If you’re a youth pastor or youth group leader looking for fun activities to do, this post is for you!
Of course, we’re biased, but we believe that escape rooms are the perfect activity for youth groups. In this post, we’ll show you why Breakout is a great bonding activity and some of the benefits your groups will get out of their experience.

Escape rooms are fun for all ages.
Depending on how your youth group is structured, you may have a variety of ages represented in your group. It might be hard to find something that older and younger kids can all enjoy together.
Escape rooms bridge that gap. Middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults will all have a blast racing against the clock together.

Escape rooms encourage teamwork.
It’s no secret that escape rooms are a popular team-building activity. That’s because our rooms are designed so that they can’t be done alone.
The puzzles require everyone to work together. And for everyone to bring their unique strengths to solve the room. Everyone in your group can feel like a hero as they solve complex problems together.

Escape rooms are fun AND educational.
Escape rooms aren’t a mindless activity. They require you to use your whole brain. They often involve math, word problems, and logic puzzles.
Escape rooms are a great way to facilitate critical thinking and problem-solving with your youth group.

Questions you may have.
  1. Is there an age limit? Any age can play. However, children under 14 years of age must have someone 18 or older in the room with them.
  2. Are there waivers we need to sign? All players must sign a waiver. Participants under 18 must have a signed waiver by a parent or guardian. They can fill out their waiver before they come.
  3. How many people can play at once? Our rooms typically have a max of 7-8 players. If your group is bigger than this, you can split up into separate rooms. It can be really fun to have different groups race each other and see who can break out the fastest.
