Escape rooms are immersive experiences that have taken the gaming scene by storm, captivating people of all ages. However, when it comes to teenagers, finding the perfect escape room can be a game in itself. In this blog post, we will unveil a handpicked selection of the best escape rooms designed specifically for teens.
Teenagers can take on greater challenges in escape rooms because they can understand more complex math and logic puzzles than younger kids. And as long as they are at least 14 years old, teens can play any of our escape games without a parent or guardian present in the room. Just them and their friends! As long as a guardian signs their waiver beforehand, they’re good to go.
Each of our escape rooms can be played by kids of all ages, but here are some of the rooms teenagers seem to like the best.
Kidnapping
An escape room classic. The Kidnapping begins with you and your fellow captives waking up handcuffed and blindfolded in a strange room. With nothing but collective brainpower, hidden clues and 60 minutes on your side, you have to free yourselves before the kidnapper returns.
This is one of our most popular rooms at Breakout (for people of all ages). And it’s just the right amount of creepy and suspenseful without being scary. See if the Kidnapping is at your location here.
Runaway Train
In this room, you must free the passengers and escape a runaway train loaded with explosives before it arrives at Central Station. It's a lot like the movie Speed!
This room is action-packed and will have your adrenaline racing as you work to stop the train. It also has some complex problems that teenagers can tackle more easily than younger kids. See if Runaway Train is at your location here.
Bomb Squad
In this escape room, you get to stop a bomb! What could be more fun?
There’s a deadly bomb hidden in the heart of Breakout City and the evil Syndicate is to blame. Thankfully, you’ve been working deep undercover for months to gain their trust and gather intel on their next attack. Now you — a member of an elite bomb squad — are the city’s only hope. You have 60 minutes to find the bomb and disarm it before the city is destroyed. See if Bomb Squad is at your location here.
Final Tips
Escape rooms aren’t just a fun way to spend an hour. They also teach valuable lessons and teamwork skills. The opportunity for both fun and learning makes breakout games a great option for groups of teenage friends, but also for sports teams, school groups, and youth groups.
Plus, Breakout is a great place to celebrate birthdays. Forget a boring birthday party, and plan a fun adventure for your teen. Read our tips on how to throw an awesome escape room birthday party here.
